About the store

Experience

I've been teaching English in secondary schools for nineteen years. I love what I do and I like to create worksheets and activities that help my students learn at the same time that they enjoy.

Teaching style

I'm very interested in Cooperative Learning methodologies, which help students learn in a cooperative way, without the pressure of facing the lesson on their own. My young learners work in groups of four and they have clear roles to carry out during the lesson. I like my students to receive input from different sources. Together, we have created blogs, interactive worksheets, participated in cultural exchanges, done projects such as culture box exchange or postcard exchanges...Anything that makes them realize that English is alive and they can use it to communicate with the rest of this big world!

Awards & shining teacher moments

Thanks to two projects I carried out with a group of 11-year-old students, I was given two scholarships for them, which enabled 60 of my youngest English learners to spend fifteen days abroad - in a boarding school in Suffolk. We all enjoyed the experience. It was a huge opportunity for them!

My own education history

I studied English at university and then I spent a semester in Manchester, attending lectures at the Manchester Metropolitan University. When I came back to Spain, I did my doctoral studies on English and American Literature and I started teaching as a trainee teacher. Then I got a position in a High School, where I have been working ever since.
