I have been teaching for 16 glorious years in many different grades and subjects. I currently teach middle school mathematics, social studies and personal finance.
This lesson includes what each student needs to know about bank accounts such as the types of fees and typical myths regarding fees. Students then research banks to create a chart based on information that they have to search. Some items include interest rates, monthly fees, overdraft fees, etc.
This lesson covers types of leases, renter's rights and obligations as well as what is covered by the landlord. A fun activity is linked at the end so that each student can look for their own apartment and answer several questions that I have asked them to research. They love this activity!
Learn about the ins and outs of credit cards. Includes sample credit card application, credit history report, FICO score example and fun credit card game!
In this lesson, students will understand what is a budget and how to create one. I give three family scenarios for a group project and a budget form for students to follow. It is a fun activity to do after students go through lesson!
This lesson will discuss mortgages, closing costs, homeowner's insurance, property taxes and more! Students are able to shop around and purchase their own home at the end!
This lesson provide all the basics to triangles. I have include pictures from the real world to show students how you can see the different types of triangle outside the classroom. I also include how to find the missing angle measure in a triangle.

I have two daughters and husband that I enjoy spending time with. I would love to be on the beach reading a book all day long and enjoy my summers! We also enjoy our new addition and rescue, Luna.
