Danielle Marino is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with five years experience working as both a school social worker and pediatric therapist. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and Master's in Social Work (MSW) from Loyola University at Chicago.
Danielle began her career as the Early Intervention School Social Worker at Whittier Elementary in Oak Park, IL and has since worked at Chicago International Charter Schools (C.I.C.S.) Erin's Law Presentation
It is state law in Illinois and at least 19 other states that each year every student in grades K-12 will receive instruction defining sexual abuse and ways to get help. As fantastic as this law is, I have yet to find affordable and effective lesson plans on safe and unsafe touch. I try to provide you an outline here and some activities that you can modify for grades K-9th grade.

I designed my own Two-Choice Behavior Plan to help parents learn the skills of Planned Ignoring (Reverse Time Outs) so they can maintain consistency between school and home. Parents rave that the "Two-Choice Behavior Plan" works faster and more consistently than "1, 2, 3 Magic" at increasing compliance in their children and even teens.

Teaching style
Clinically, Danielle’s focus has been on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and she uses the BalanceMan and Bad Thoughts Gang (BTG) cartoon characters to help children and adolescents develop balanced, healthy thought patterns and healthier behavior.
