A primary dictionary for grade 2, 3 and 4 made with letter sized paper folded on the long side making a narrow handy dictionary perfectly sized for little fingers. It includes the 100 high frequency words, most misspelled words for grade 2,3 and 4. Lists including months, numbers, and alphabetized pages with lots of blank spaces for writing personal words the children use in their writing and most common words for each letter of the alphabet on each page.
52 cards measuring 2.5" x 1.75". When laminated and cut will fit into a hockey card box for easy storage. Cut with a rotary cutter on self-healing board for a professional look. Use in Word Work during Daily 5, as Flash cards or a matching game.
A number line that the teacher can easily cut on the cutter and a primary child can easily glue together with few directions. A strip 2" wide that makes a 5 foot strip and that can be clipped with a paper clip between lessons. Use the line for teaching counting by 2's, 3's, 5's and 10's. Have the students colour different coloured dots above the numbers that are multiples.
The full set of 45 different contractions (90) includes the smaller primary set). Cards are 1.75" x 2.5" and will fit perfectly into a clear hockey card box. Cut with a rotary cutter and a self-healing board for professional looking cards. Use as flash cards, in a Word Work during Daily Five or as a matching game.
144 Homophones mini-cards. The stack of laminated cards will fit inside of a hockey card box for easy storage. Each card is half the size of a hockey card. Use as a matching game or a fish game. Reduce the number of cards for primary students. Use at a Literacy Centre or at Daily 5 Word Work. 'Triples' ate included for higher level students. Laminate and cut on the lines.
I used this sheet with a fairytale done first on the overhead, then handed out and done together, then done independently with a fairytale I read. This retell sheet has coloured bookmarks that go with the practice sheet. When done at school, this strategy can be practiced alone or with a learning partner. Bookmarks can be sent home when the child knows how to use it so that the child can practice the retelling strategy at home.
26 alphabet cards that support beginning readers with images that match the beginning sounds. Easy for use during literacy learning centers and Daily Five word work activities. Cards are the same size as hockey cards, so storage is easy in plastic see-through hockey card boxes or plastic pages (available at Comic and Card shops and Dollar Stores). Print on 110 pound cardstock and laminate for lifelong durability. Cut on lines. Rotary cutter (Olfa) and self-healing board works best. Follow me
