Basic Beginnings

These large shape and color matching mats are a great activity for students learning about the different shapes. For this activity, students will place the same cutout shape onto the mat to create a match. To enhance the activity, place velcro onto the shape printed on the mat and the cutout shapes to have the pieces stick together. Laminate the mats and shapes prior to applying the velcro to unsure many uses out of the activity.
