Experience

Starting my 19th year as a Spanish/English bilingual teacher!

Teaching style

My students' interests and backgrounds drive my instruction. Their curiosity and intensity for learning has made me a stronger educator, as I listen and respond to keep them engaged.

My own education history

My time in college was a lot of fun, and changed the course of my career. I started at Southwestern University wanting to be an elementary educator. While taking my required foreign language courses, I became hooked on reading...this time in Spanish. To my surprise (and the surprise of my family and friends!) I pivoted my trajectory slightly to be a bilingual educator. I hold a double major in Child Study and Language Development and Spanish Language and Literature.
