I'm a Board Certified Educational Therapist. Since 2010, I've run a thriving private practice in San Mateo, California. I work one-on-one with children with language-based learning disabilities like dyslexia. Teaching style

I find that explicit, systematic, and FUN instruction helps motivate my students and help them succeed. I love to help students recognize their own abilities and talents.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I'm an honoree of the San Mateo County Women's Hall of Fame. I'm thrilled to be presenting at the 2014 National Association of Educational Therapists Conference.

My own education history

I hold a Master's degree in special education from San Francisco State University. I received my specialized training in educational therapy from the University of California Santa Cruz. I've also trained extensively in research-based literacy methods, including Lindamood-Bell® and Orton-Gillingham.
