This resource is a great 1-2 day activity for scholarship research. Students are instructed to research 3 scholarships that they could apply for, either right now or for later in the year. The simple format allows for a quick hand-in and back formative assessment. Students that finish early are encouraged to apply in class for one of their choices.

Teaching style

I am an arts focused educator, meaning many of my lesson plans and units will involve activities and assessments that use creative writing, Visual Art, drama, music, dance, video, photography, and reflective components. I also incorporate Socratic Seminar and group learning for speaking/listening competencies.
