A fun and challenging activity for students in grades 5-8 to create a Thanksgiving Day schedule for preparing, cooking, and presenting the main meal of the day. This problem-solving activity encourages students to focus on several areas of the Standards of Mathematical Practice as laid out by the CCSS. These areas include making sense of problems and persevering in solving them, reasoning abstractly and quantitatively, and constructing viable arguments. This lesson also includes an extension act

This product includes basic vocabulary, algorithms, terminology, and geometric shapes and categories for the upper elementary/middle school grades.
