I have been a teacher for 25 years. I have taught 1st and 4th grade. I love both the learning discoveries of 1st graders and the independent learners of 4th grade. I believe learning should be engaging and fun!

Numerical Reasoning: Relationship Between Place Value

4.NR.1.2 Recognize and show that a digit in one place has a value ten times greater than what it represents in the place to its right and extend this understanding to determine the value of a digit when it is shifted to the left or right, based on the relationship between multiplication and division. This activity is great for small group or individual practice. My students love this self-checking activity!

I am blessed to teach in a wonderful county where education is celebrated and encouraged. I am married and have three wonderful children. Some of the things I love are family time, beach combing, cooking, and reading.
