Biggest/Smallest 3 Digit Addition with Regrouping
Fun games students play independently or with a partner. Students roll a dice three times. They make the biggest and smallest number possible (place value knowledge), and then add the numbers together. Great way to determine their knowledge of adding 3 digit numbers!

Phases of the Moon
Students draw and label the phases of the moon. The practice includes a word bank. It's a great formative or summative assessment for the standard.

Multiplication Flash Cards (1-12)
These are multiplication flash cards for facts 1-12. The flash cards have an optional back with an answer bubble so students can solve before memorizing. Enjoy!

Adding and Subtracting Tens Spinner Game
This is a game where students spin to find a 3 digit number. They spin again to see if they will be adding or subtracting tens. They then show their equation on a number line. I use this as a review of place value, and as a warm up for adding multiple tens. The kids LOVE it!

Holiday Literacy / Reading Challenge
This is a simple one page literacy challenge for students to complete over winter break. I make mine optional. It has reading and writing activities. It is NOT Christmas specific - just "holiday" in general. My students love the varieties of reading AND writing activities!

Teaching style
I am a dedicated elementary school teacher with a passion for inquiry based learning. I believe in reading and writing across the curriculum with the integration of multiple subjects to create a flexible, innovative classroom environment. Success is found when students learn through exploration and each other by creating a comfortable, welcoming setting that encourages discussion and higher level thinking. Mathematics is my passion as well as my area of strength. I am hard working and trusted and I believe collaboration, feedback, and reflection is the key to professional growth and achievement.
