Extension Activity: After completing the organizer, students can write about the impact of the midnight appointments of federalists made by John Adams and the precedents it set.
Students will use the internet to research different aspects of the first American political parties and the major two modern political parties. They will use this worksheet to guide them in their research.
Extension work: I had the students write a short essay describing which of the first party they more aligned with and which modern policy they most aligned with in their beliefs.
