Enjoy my Veterans Day Program bundle! -Armed Forces Medley edit -Armed Forces Medley Instrumental edit -Armed Forces Medley lyrics I was looking for a good Armed Forces Medley for my 1st graders to perform at our Veterans' Day Program, but I found the actual medley is too long and wordy, the keys were not appropriate for young voices, and there was not enough time between pieces to announce the branch of the Armed Force whose song was coming up. Music with Manipulatives

Music with Manipulatives came from repurposing fraction circles in order to display notes and rests on them and use them to help teach duration. Students can not only see the values and how they fit into one another, but can use the manipulatives to carry out mathematical equations that transfer to music. I took plastic manipulatives from my school and pasted printed out notation on them, but you can also use cardstock or paper to have students create their own. I normally explain without the w

I use this easy worksheet after I have had students sort measures of various meters with a group.
