About the store
I’m a former 5th grade teacher, instructional coach, and school culture leader with over a decade of experience in education. I’ve worked across classroom, district, and school leadership roles - including behavior systems, student support, and positive culture development. Most of what I create is rooted in real school needs, built during late nights and early mornings while trying to make systems that actually work for kids and the adults supporting them.

Practice Cards for Classroom Management

Created by
Bee & a Bear
Use these practice cards for effective classroom management! I usually give kids a few warnings before doling these out- but they are so boring to rewrite (especially during recess!) that kids never seem to want more than one of these!

About the store

Experience

I’m a former 5th grade teacher, instructional coach, and school culture leader with over a decade of experience in education. I’ve worked across classroom, district, and school leadership roles - including behavior systems, student support, and positive culture development. Most of what I create is rooted in real school needs, built during late nights and early mornings while trying to make systems that actually work for kids and the adults supporting them.

Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in connection, clarity, and curiosity. I leaned heavily into Project-Based Learning, helping students take ownership of their learning through meaningful, real-world applications. Whether it was a classroom economy, interdisciplinary projects, or community-focused work, I believed in giving students both structure and choice. My goal was always to create learning environments with enough scaffolding to feel safe and enough freedom to grow.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was named the Idaho Educational Technology Association Teacher of the Year in 2018 for my work with student-led tech integration and classroom innovation. I also served as a ClassDojo Mentor and Ambassador for four years, supporting teachers across the country in creating strong classroom culture. Over the years, I have received multiple awards at the school level for leadership, culture-building, and student achievement...but my favorite moments are still the ones when students ask if they can take our systems home and use them with their siblings :)

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Social Studies. I also have a Master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation, as well as an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership with a focus on Building Leadership. In addition to classroom teaching, I have worked in Gifted Education at the school, district, and state level, helping to build systems that support advanced learners while promoting access and equity.
