This file was created to avoid "Sit and Git" teaching. I have created an interactive way for my students to be a part of their own learning. This Scavenger Hunt includes links to the Bible, a web page and other slides to guide them to understanding about the Works of Mercy. A detailed learning response sheet is included to help your students discuss and write about their learning as they self pace themselves through the scavenger hunt.

Our first graders are required to complete a sums of ten one minute time test. While there are many addition time test out there, I could not find one for sums of ten with a missing addend. The one we were using was hand written and visually overwhelming. I created this assessment as my first document on TPT. I am hoping that this will be useful to others as well.

Give your students a new and unique way to launch their writing with these doodle starters. Copy the doodle illustration page on one side and the lines on the back and let your kiddos imaginations run away. Students use their creative powers to develop a picture out of the doodle and then write a story to go with it. It is amazing to watch each child’s personal interest and experiences transform a simple scribble into an elaborate illustration. Struggling writers will take off when they have
This is a quick way to contact parents after a student has had a challenging day. Simply fill in the child's name and the date, highlight the area where poor choices were made and send home. At the end of the day I often need something quick and easy to let parents know how the day went. There is a half page and a full page option.
When I added the positive sections to my clip chart I wanted a way to let parents know when their students clipped up for great choices. Now I can simply highlight the area their child clipped up to and write a quick comment to send home. My kids got so excited that their good behavior not only resulted in clipping up, but they would be able to show their parent the happy news. This is quick for me and it goes a long way for my students. Enjoy.
