I created these mats to help my own students understand the correlation between the concrete (manipulatives) and abstract (actual math problem) skills of regrouping and borrowing.

Using your own manipulatives, task cards, vocabulary word matches and other resources create a fun activity during Halloween Week. Spread your activities around the room or work with a colleague to “Trick or Treat” solving problems. As each problem is solved and checked, each student receives a treat. Treats could be a “Homework Coupon” (2 boxes are left blank for you to write in your own “treat”, seasonal erasers, candy, pencils, etc.
