Beehive Learning. Number recognition: Teen Numbers. The aim of this program is to introduce children to teen numbers. They will see that teen numbers are made up of one ten and a number of ones e.g. thirteen is one ten and three ones. They will also be introduced to the number names as well as the numerals.
The aim of this program is to introduce the colours of the rainbow. Students will be introduced to colour names, order of colours in a rainbow, where to find rainbows ,why rainbows form and how to make rainbows.
Alphabet and dictionary skills. Includes storage box and small books for each letter of the alphabet with capitol letters and small letters. Pictures and words for each letter and lined page for other words as they need them for their writings.
In My Gareden alphabet game. Children each have a pictture board with nine pictures. There is a game board with letters of the alphabet. Child has a dice and ten counters each child throws dice and lands on a letter if that letter is on their chart they place a counter on the picture when the first child has fut counters on all their picture they are the winner.
Beehive Learning: Multiplication: The aim of this program is to introduce students to multiplication before they have to learn them. It explains why we have to learn them off by heart. The areas introduced are groups with the same number,multiplication sign,times tables,patterns and the division sign.
Multiplication Trivia is a game that can be played with one to four players. It allows children to revise their times tables and division equations in a fun way. Children can also problem solve with the number sentences for all multiplication tables as well as their division tables.
Children need to understand the concepts of equivalent groups before they can understand the concept of multiplication and times tables. I have devised games and activties that allow children to see the relevance of learning their tables.
