Your students will use a nonstandard measurement tool (paper clips, counters, tiles, cubes, craft sticks, etc.) to estimate and measure five objects found around the room. I like to have my students draw a quick sketch of the objects, too. Once they have measured the objects, have your students order the objects from shortest to longest or vice versa.
