Contingency Interactive Reward Maps

Reward Maps help our students to visualize that positive behaviors lead to reinforcement and unexpected behaviors result in loss of privileges or negative consequences. For students that have never used a reward map or need a bit of extra structure, modeling the use of the map and placing the pieces down yourself (as a teacher, therapist, etc.) would be a great place to start. For our students that are capable of reflecting on their actions and are aware of how they need to behave in order to r

Additional biographical information

Because I hate the term "wear a lot of hats", I will say this: I have ridden a lot of rodeos. From nearly majoring in Fine Arts to become a tattoo artist, commissioning my own work as a portrait artist, and become a therapist with a concentration in Conduct Disorder and Impulsive Behavior Disorders, you can say my experience is vast, wide, and even a bit random. My approach is unorthodox. I don't realize how loud my own voice is, I make mistakes and quickly own up to them, and I typically ask for forgiveness rather than permission. I have been told I "go rogue" far too often to work in any school or clinic, but it is my maverick-based and EVIDENCE-BASED approaches that have allowed me to step into the beautiful minds of my little friends with autism. I hope you'll join me!
