Star Student Token Economy
This is a token economy system to reinforce desired behavior and reduce undesired behavior. It is used to reward students for appropriate classroom behavior, on task behavior, and work completion. To use laminate a sticker chart for each student and the stickers. Place velcro on each square and on the back of the stickers. We have taught in the field of education for 10 years in behavior, resource and self contained programs.
Teaching style
Our goal is to produce productive members of society and give underserved children an opportunity to succeed. We believe in high expectations for all kids. We create a loving environment where kids feel safe to learn. We teach kids the skills they need to overcome trauma and neglect. By having a highly reinforcing classroom that is consistent with boundaries in place we have helped many students find success. Over the years we have created many data sheets, social skills lessons, and classroom management systems that have been effective in our classroom and we would like to share them with other teachers.
My own education history
We both attended Eastern Washington University. We have backgrounds in special education, behavior, and psychology.
