Behavior is Key

This is a lesson plan based upon our school PBIS motto. I have created a differentiated elementary level lesson plan for teachers to use when teaching about positive behaviors and manners in the classroom. This lesson plan includes the use of graphic organizers and gives a template on how to teach positive behaviors to our students.

Questionnaire to determine student interests and likes. This is a complete picture symbol based questionnaire for students with visual learning needs.

Print, laminate, and attach the interactive book companion cards with the book 'Dinosaur Dance!' by Sandra Byonton. This interactive companion comes with a dinosaur dancing game and matches for every page of the book.

Unit 1 Adapted Spelling Test for 2013 Pearson Reading Street. This document includes an adapted spelling test for each of the 6 weeks in the 1st grade Unit 1 book. Along with the student test, there is an answer document included as well. This adapted test is used for students that are struggling in identifying letters when given letter sounds. This test is adapted for those students that are identified with exceptionalities as well as those on the Tier 2/3 level.

Students can learn their phone number by matching the number to the correct box. All teachers/therapists need to do is print, cut, and laminate to use!

This "Working for..." board is a chart that tracks and documents the number of times that a student has completed a specific activity or behaves correctly in order to earn the reward. Star chart boards have been used in many classrooms, therapy sessions, and with all types of students. If you have a student that needs the extra reminders to stay on task, this chart may be for you!
