Experience

Welcome to my store! I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a master's degree in Special Education, and I've been passionate about education since 2004. I specialize in Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions, including Pivotal Response Teaching, the Early Start Denver Model, Project ImPACT, and Natural Environment Teaching. I believe in the power of play to drive learning and have successfully used this approach to achieve significant behavior and academic improvements. I'm thrilled to share my resources with you and help you make learning fun and effective!

Teaching style

My teaching style focuses on Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBIs), with a strong foundation in Pivotal Response Teaching. I have had the rewarding experience of training staff, families, community members, and professionals in NDBIs. I believe that if we're playing, we're learning! With a little creativity and imagination, students can thrive both behaviorally and academically.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I had the privilege of presenting at the 2024 Para-educators Conference for the CSEA, covering topics like "Increasing Communicative Responses Through Communication Temptation" and "Using Play-Based Teaching Strategies to Promote Learning." This was a career highlight for me. You can find these trainings and more in my store. From the direct student/client end, every opportunity to work on new socially significant behaviors with a child is an absolute pleasure. I've been lucky to witness children say their first words, make their first friend, and get invited to their first birthday party. These experiences are invaluable to me!

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Communicative Disorders from CSUF, and a Master's degree in Special Education with a concentration on Consultation and Collaboration from ASU. I've been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since January 2013 and earned a certificate in Special Education Advocacy from the University of San Diego. My extensive training includes Functional Analysis and Assessment, Practical Functional Analysis, PECS, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, the RUBI curriculum, and Organizational Behavioral Management from FSU.

Additional biographical information
