Teaching style

y teaching style is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. I believe that learning happens best when individuals feel supported, successful, and motivated. Whether I am working with a child, training a behavior technician, collaborating with educators, or coaching caregivers, I focus on creating practical strategies that can be used in real-life situations. I strive to make complex behavioral concepts easy to understand and implement. My resources emphasize positive reinforcement, skill-building, communication, independence, and meaningful progress. Every learner is unique, and I believe interventions should be individualized, functional, and focused on improving quality of life.

Awards & shining teacher moments

One of the most rewarding parts of my career has been watching children achieve goals that once seemed out of reach. From hearing a child's first functional request, to helping a teenager develop independence skills, to supporting families through challenging behaviors, these milestones continue to inspire my work. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supervising behavior technicians, mentoring future BCBAs, training clinical teams, and collaborating with schools and families to create meaningful change. Seeing clients gain confidence, communication skills, and greater independence remains my greatest professional accomplishment and motivation behind creating Behavior Bee resources.

My own education history

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at San Diego State University in 2018 before earning a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2021. I began working in the field of ABA in 2017 and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2023. My professional experience spans home, school, clinic, and community settings, serving children and adolescents with diverse learning needs. I remain committed to lifelong learning and continuously seek opportunities to expand my knowledge in behavior analysis, supervision, caregiver training, and evidence-based intervention practices.

Additional biographical information

Behavior Bee was created from my passion for helping children, families, educators, and behavior professionals thrive. As a BCBA, I have worked with learners ranging from toddlers to teenagers and have developed resources that support communication, social skills, adaptive skills, behavior reduction, and independence. In addition to providing direct clinical services, I enjoy mentoring behavior technicians, supervising future BCBAs, creating training materials, and developing practical tools that make implementation easier for busy professionals and caregivers. My goal is to bridge the gap between evidence-based practices and everyday application by creating resources that are both effective and easy to use. When I'm not working with clients or creating resources, you'll usually find me developing new training materials, collaborating with clinical teams, or finding creative ways to make learning engaging and accessible for everyone. Behavior Bee's mission: Helping the hive thrive—one behavior at a time. 🐝
