Experience

I have six years of experience teaching high school in the greater Richmond, VA area. In my time teaching I've taught Algebra 2, AP Statistics, Pre-calculus and Trigonometry, and Discrete Mathematics. I am in my first year teaching at a community college and I teach Pre-calculus 1 (no trigonometry) and Quantitative Reasoning (math for liberal arts majors).

Teaching style

On the high school level, I had a flipped classroom for Algebra 2 and more direct models of instruction for other courses. On the college level, I'm working on integrating more active learning into Pre-calculus courses and my Quantitative Reasoning course is heavily geared towards active learning.
