Missing Addends Story Problems - Composing/Decomposing Numbers to 20
Step by step approach to teaching missing addends through story problems. This product is a great way to scaffold learners understanding that different combinations can be used to find the same sum. Each story problem contains 2 missing addends. Students start by solving the problem booklets with one solution. Pictures are provided so early learners can focus on creating addends to make the total. After students have mastered solving the problem with one answer, move them onto the worksheets

Number Sense Book
Simply print the pages and staple them to make a booklet for each student. Book includes one page per number (1-20) Each page gives the student an opportunity to practice writing the numeral, number word, and representing the quantity. Format changes as the numbers get higher. Format: 1-6: draw a picture, fill in a 10s frame, color in that many, identify the correct dice 7-9: draw a picture, fill in a 10s frame, color in that many, color squares on 10s stick 10-20: draw pictures or tally mark

Teaching style
As a primary teacher I get to spend each day growing thoughtful leaders. I am a firm believer that my role is to guide, encourage, and expect amazing things from my little learners. Kindergarten is where it starts! That's a big job to fill, but I couldn't imagine spending my days doing anything else. As educators we are shaping the future. My students know that their character is what matters the most! Through excitement, encouragement, and high expectations I try to pass on my LOVE of learning and create smiles inside our classroom every day!
