This is a 5 page document. It includes goals, material list and a lesson plan. The students will look through different grocery store ads to find the cost of items that are normally eaten on Thanksgiving. They will estimate how much Thanksgiving dinner will cost to make at different stores and graph the results for the different stores to determine which store is the most expensive and least expensive.

This hands on center is a great way to identify different types of graphs. It is a self checking center where the students match a word to a picture. This center includes teacher and student directions 10 activity cards and an enrichment activity. Common core standards require students to identify and determine the difference between different types of graphs. The students can create a flip book to help them remember the difference between different types of graphs. This product includes vocabulary words, definitions and pictures.
