This is a 5 page document. It includes goals, material list and a lesson plan. The students will look through different grocery store ads to find the cost of items that are normally eaten on Thanksgiving. They will estimate how much Thanksgiving dinner will cost to make at different stores and graph the results for the different stores to determine which store is the most expensive and least expensive.

This hands on center is a great way in reinforce mixed numbers and improper fractions. It is a self checking center where the students match a picture with a mixed number and improper fraction!
