HIGH FIVE factsDon’t waste your time cutting out and laminating hundreds of hands to practice “High Five facts.” Laminate a High Five poster and post it beside your classroom door. Use it over and over again by just changing the fact on the poster. Every time your students leave the classroom, they give the poster a ‘high-five’ and say the fact on the hand and the answer. These paddles are for online students, to facilitate student participation and rapid responses in zoom meetings, google meet-ups, etc. For each paddle, I cut two circles from colored posterboard with an Ellison 4" circle die cutter and glued them together with white glue, inserting a wooden craft stick between the circles. Then I copied the attached pages onto colored cardstock and cut them out with a 3" circle punch cutter. I glued these on either side of the paddle circles with rubber cement

The Dead Word Cemetary poster brings to students' attention words which are never correct in the standard English language. Students remind one another when someone says a word on the poster. Poster is formatted to print on a 12 x 18 sheet of paper.
