I have been looking for a good way to teach money and apply it to the real world. Since there wasn’t anything out there I created my class cash system. It is a system that I use through the school year to teach money through salaries, bills, fines, bonuses, checks, and debit cards. You will have access to edit this document to make it your own. At the beginning of every school year I complete this sheet for each student on my caseload and provide a copy to each teacher that works with those students. After their annual IEP I will update it and provide new copies. The general education teachers have greatly appreciated this since it is easier and quicker to reference.

I use this with my special education students who are lower functioning that need a reminder of what the expectations/steps are when we go to the library.

I have many sensory needs in my classroom. It is important for us to track the frequency of sensory breaks for some of my students. We use this form to help track it. Please feel free to change the form to better fit your classroom/student(s).

I have used this color coded system for years and the students have an easier time learning the tradtional steps to long division. I do phase this "helper" out. The helper is also connected to the saying "Does McDonalds Sell CheeseBurgers?" to help them remember the steps. I hope this helps your students as much as it has helped mine.

This document includes visual expectation/step strips for going to the library, read to self, walking in the hall, time to self, breakfast, lunch and doing my work. These items are also posted for individual purchase if needed.

I have used this game board for a variety of things (mainly small groups). The most common is for homework/task completion. More of an explanation is included.

I use this with my special education students who are lower functioning that need a reminder of what the expectations/steps are when walking in the hall, having some time to themselves (which is a break option in my room), breakfast, lunch, and doing their work. The breakfast and lunch strips I made double sided instead of one long strip.

I use this with my special education students inside their morning basket that include the items they need to brush their hair, teeth, and applying deodorant. There are three levels included for student individual needs.

I am continually talking to parents on the phone for a variety of reasons. I use this form to keep notes of every phone conversation when a parent calls me or I call them (in/out part of the form). I have a binder sectioned off sheets by student so all phone calls related to an individual student are together. This has been helpful when I need to refer back to a phone conversation I had with a parent. I keep the binder near the phone.

I have para-professionals and therapists in and out of my room continually. I have a pile of these and a few pens near the phone. This works great to help pass messages along since we are never in the classroom at the same time. We hang the messages by the phone and they are on bright pink paper.

I have 10 pencils numbered and kept on my desk for students to check-out when they forget theirs or loose it during class. I use this to keep track of who has a pencil and see if the same students are always using the pencils (if it is the same student(s) I will work on organization with them).

Here are jobs cards for cooking groups. I use these jobs in my functional cooking class. The students like to have a role. Enjoy!

I use this to help keep track of students individual MAP (Measure of Academic Performance) Scores. I have the chart set up to automatically calculate increases/decreases in scores and a class average. Please feel free to change it to fit your needs.

I use this form to keep track of the books students borrow from my classroom library. I have many pages copied back to back and located on a bright yellow clipboard in my classroom library. When they return a book I requre them to show me and I initial after it has been returned.

When a student needs to borrow a calculator I use this to keep track of who has what calculator. It is great for when one is missing. :)

Make-Up Memo lets the student know what they missed when they were gone. It has helped me to make them responsible for completing the work they missed.

I use these general rules to help keep an order for using classroom computers and keep students on task. It has worked well for me hopefully it does for you too.
