Uncle Tom's Cabin - Marginalized Groups Lesson Plan
This is a 1-2 week unit of study that can be delivered online or in the classroom. Using the novel Uncle Tom's Cabin it illustrates the difference between disenfranchised and marginalized groups. It can be one lesson in the entire novel study or it could be a stand alone lesson in which the students only read an excerpt of Chapter 11. Uncle Tom's Cabin is available as a free resource online so multiple book copies are not needed.
