I bring over 24 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving students and families in an urban school district, working with individuals ages 2–21. My clinical background spans a wide range of communication needs, including articulation, phonological disorders, stuttering, language disorders, social communication, autism, and various syndromes. I also have specialized experience in Deaf Education and am fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), allowing me to support diverse communication modalities.
Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), including evaluating devices, implementing systems, and writing funding reports to ensure students have access to the tools they need. I am passionate about creating functional, meaningful communication opportunities that extend beyond the therapy room.
In addition to direct services, I have provided professional development for teachers and fellow SLPs, led committees, and facilitated peer learning opportunities. Collaboration and mentorship are central to my work, and I value supporting other professionals in building their skills and confidence.
I also run a private practice where I serve homeschool clients both in person and virtually. I partner closely with families, equipping parents with practical strategies to support their child’s communication at home and in the community.
Earlier in my career, I spent 10 years in a skilled nursing facility while working in the school setting, where I focused on dysphagia, aphasia, stroke recovery, and cognitive-communication skills. This experience deepened my understanding of communication across the lifespan.
I am deeply committed to helping individuals communicate effectively so they can fully engage in meaningful relationships and experiences. I believe communication should enhance life—not become a burden—and I strive to provide efficient, impactful support for SLPs and families that empowers people without making therapy the center of their world.
