The journey that changed my life began over 19 years ago when I became a teacher assistant in a NY non-public school for students with Autism. Since then I have obtained a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Master’s degree in School Building Leadership and through hard work and dedication have been promoted to a classroom teacher, a head teacher, a coordinator of various programs, and the director of programs and services.
Four years ago my family relocated to SC where I have been working as an inclusion teacher and a special setting teacher for students enrolled in the SC Credential program in the public schools.
The positions I have held provided me with an extensive experience in teaching students with learning and severe disabilities ages 5 years old to young adult, developing and implementing IEP goals and behavior intervention plans, conducting academic and transition assessments, and developing and adapting curricula.
