I served as a long-term Geometry substitute for the duration of my student teaching semester. I have now been hired to teach AP Calculus AB / BC and Geometry at the same school where I completed my student teaching.
This is my Unit #1 Assessments. This set includes 2 quizzes and 1 unit exam. The quizzes are worth 20 points each and the unit exam is worth 50 points. When scoring these I usually look for: correct set up, substitution, and final answer. I will be uploading answer key separately. However, I encourage you to complete the activities yourself. I intended for these notes to be adaptable to different classrooms.
This is my Unit #1 Activity Set. This unit includes the following... Points, Lines and Planes Maze [Inspired by Miss Crafty Math Teacher]Slope JigsawPythagorean Theorem Candy Land Record [Board Game is sold separately]Distance Formula and Midpoint Formula Pokémon Color By Number [3 Pokémon]Missing Segments and Area Name GridI will be uploading answer key separately. However, I encourage you to complete the activities yourself. I intended for these notes to be adaptable to different classrooms.
This is my Unit #1 Guided Notes Set. This unit includes the following topics... Points, Lines and PlanesCoordinate PlanePythagorean TheoremDistance Formula and Midpoint FormulaMissing Segments and Area ReviewI will be uploading answer key separately. However, I encourage you to complete the notes yourself. I intended for these notes to be adaptable to different classrooms.
This is the card deck I created to go with my Pythagorean Theorem board game. Each color card corresponds to a different kind of problem relating to the use of Pythagorean Theorem and properties of right triangles. The solutions are underlined on each card so students will not be able to draw their own card and must have a peer ask them a question when it is their turn. There are printing instructions included on the last page.
This board game is vaguely inspired by candy land but it teaches students how to use Pythagorean Theorem! I did include letters in each colored box on the back so students who are colorblind would be able to play on their own. I have also created a card deck to go with this game but I would encourage you to make your own. You will know which skills should be prioritized in your classroom.
This is my Unit #1 Bell Ringers Set. This set includes 5 bell ringers, one for each of the topics in my Unit #1 Guided Notes Set, as well as two notebook check score cards. I print one copy for each student and cut along the lines to make slips of paper for each day. I will be uploading answer key separately. However, I encourage you to complete the activities yourself. I intended for these notes to be adaptable to different classrooms.
This is a sample of how my bell ringers are set up for each unit. The unit bell ringers found on my page will have one bell ringer for each topic in that unit. Each unit typically contains 5 to 6 topics so there will be two pages per unit. For units with only five topics we use the sixth slip of paper as scrap to cut out shapes to help with visualization.
This is a sample of the first page of notes from my Unit #1 Guided Notes Set. My Geometry Curriculum comes with a full lesson plan for each day. There are 8 units total. Each unit includes... 1 unit outline5 bell ringers5 guided notes pages5 discovery or extension activities1 review task or activity2 quizzes1 unit exam1 calculating grades paper I will also upload a Unit Assessments Set for those who may want the exams or quizzes only.

Teaching style
My teaching is more student-centered collaboration oriented. I try to bring games into the classroom whenever possible. My favorite is the Pythagorean Theorem Candy Land.
