This recipe sheet goes along with Vincent Chen's "Hot Pot Night!" A great way to discuss thankfulness, diverse foods and sharing meals. I love doing this one prior to Thanksgiving break and it's a big hit. Students will make their own shopping list for their ideal hot pot. Great activity to do before making a classroom meal.
Back In The Day: SEL, Homeroom or Advisory Game This game was originally created by me as a baby shower game when my niece was about to be born! We had so much fun and I soon realized it’s a great game to play at school with older students to build rapport, relationships and make a part of your SEL lessons. My recommendation would be to include this as a resource when discussing families and celebrating each other’s differences. It's a great hands on, get out of your seat extension. Bonus: Can

Believe it or not, I have received updates from former students in the fall to tell me that their sunflower grew! There are 3 poems to a page for the grades Pre-K, Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Works great for any of those grade levels. Supply a stick for each poem, I highly recommend laminating them, and displa
A simple morning activity that only takes a couple of minutes to do as a whole class. If you are one of those teachers that forgets to do attendance, making this a part of your morning routine is a great way to not only remember to do attendance, but to give your students a quick morning brain jog with simple math. This can be used for any students but is ideal for those in Pre-K- 1st grade. Download is a PDF that includes "Number of the Day" printable signs for each grade level, to be placed o
