About the store
Bilingual Bumblebee is your go-to source for Spanish immersion teaching resources — thoughtfully created by a bilingual educator who has taught in real dual-language classrooms, just like yours. Dual-Language & Spanish Immersion Experience: I've spent my career teaching and leading in two Spanish immersion schools in Oregon. My experience spans K–6 English Language Arts (ELA) and Spanish Language Arts (SLA), first-grade instruction in both 50/50 and 80/20 Spanish immersion models, and K–6 instructional coaching. That breadth means I understand what bilingual teachers actually need — across grade levels, program models, and both languages. Why I started Bilingual Bumblebee: Finding quality resources for Spanish immersion classrooms has always been the hardest part of my job. The gap in dual-language teaching materials is real — and it's been my biggest frustration as an educator. I created Bilingual Bumblebee to change that. Every resource here is built to support bilingual teachers, save you planning time, and bring meaningful, standards-aligned content into your classroom.

Teaching style

I believe the best bilingual classrooms are both structured and student-centered — and that those two things aren't opposites. My teaching blends explicit instruction with inquiry-driven learning so students build a strong foundation in both English and Spanish while staying genuinely engaged. Structured & explicit: I use clear, scaffolded instruction to teach literacy and language skills in both English and Spanish — so students always know what they're learning and why. Student-centered: Students learn best when they're active participants. My resources are designed to spark curiosity, invite collaboration, and give students voice in their own learning. What this means for my resources? Every resource in this store reflects how I actually teach. You won't find generic filler — only materials I've used, refined, and trusted in real Spanish immersion classrooms. Whether you teach in a 50/50 or 80/20 dual-language program, you'll find resources that fit the way bilingual students actually learn. I don't follow one rigid language methodology — because bilingual students don't learn in a rigid way. My materials are flexible enough to support a range of program models, grade levels, and learner needs. My resources work for: • K–6 dual-language teachers • 50/50 immersion programs • 80/20 immersion programs • Spanish ELA & SLA instruction • Bilingual instructional coaches
