About the store

I have been a teacher for 25 years and I absolutely love it. I have taught 1st, 2nd and 5th grade and now Kinder. I am proud to be bilingual and have been a bilingual educator all my teaching career. I am happy to share my ideas with you.

Experience

Teaching style

I believe in constructivism. I want my students to learn by doing because then they can teach each other further cementing the knowledge they have acquired.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have had the honor of being a Cooperative Teacher for university level student teachers several times. I have also been Teacher of the Year.

My own education history

I am from Dallas, Texas and attended schools in Garland. I always dreamed of being a teacher. I have a Master's Degree in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University. I graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.

I love spending time with my family and my westie baby Snoopy. I also like to shop in my spare time and look for great children books to read to my class.
