This activity helps to explain both active and passive transport. The introduction provides background information on all processes. The document also contains manipulates the students can use to create their own membrane with passive/active transport imbedded directly into it! These manipulates can also be used to create a teacher set to show the processes on the board. This activity keeps the students engaged and working hands on with the material!
This activity asks students to construct several food pyramids, followed by completing an entire food web using the 15 pong organisms. Each organism has a brief description of what it eats to help students correctly label and place them in the web/pyramid.
