Teaching style
All of my resources have been created with the intention to help the student learn the material, keep the student motivated, and allow for extended thinking. I am a positive and active teacher with high expectations for all of my students. I know the classroom is a room full of diverse learners and therefore, I offer differentiated instruction continuously throughout the school year. I believe my enthusiasm and optimistic approach in the classroom helps to motivate my students to learn and appreciate the material.
Awards & shining teacher moments
So far in my teaching career I have received two Perfect Attendance Awards. I also received a Certificate of Achievement for my work in Instruction (Activities and Materials) by the Department of Instruction at my school.
All of the above were great to receive, but the best reward to me happens in my classroom. That moment when a student learns and understands a difficult biological concept is priceless. My day is always made when a past student stops by and tells me how much they miss my class! This is the true reward of being a teacher.
