Experience

I am a pediatric speech language pathologist and the founder of Bite Sized Beginnings Speech Therapy, a private practice in Naperville, Illinois. I have over a decade of experience working with children with diverse communication needs including speech sound disorders, autism, gestalt language processing, AAC users, and pediatric feeding challenges. Teaching style

My therapy style is child led, play based, and neurodiversity affirming. I believe communication develops best when children feel safe, understood, and motivated to interact. Rather than focusing on compliance based therapy, my approach emphasizes connection, regulation, and meaningful communication opportunities. I incorporate naturalistic language modeling, AAC support, and strengths based strategies to help children build functional communication skills. The resources in this store reflect this philosophy. They are designed to be engaging, flexible, and supportive of authentic communication development rather than drill based learning.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am highly involved in advocacy work through the Illinois Speech and Hearing Associations Legislative and Regulations and Billing and Reimbursement Committees.
