I've taught first, second, and third grades in the public school system and understand the enormous demands teachers face each day. After achieving National Board Certification, I began researching ways to increase student engagement while lessening work-stress demands and teacher burnout. I love to find efficient and effective ways to help teachers cope. I am using more goals-related tasks and self-assessments in my classroom with promising results.

Out of this World GOALS! Student Goal Tracking
Out of this World Goals was born of necessity to meet the need of first grade students learning to set and track reachable goals. The easy-to-understand scoreboards are good visuals for seeing improvement and progress. Students work on no more than 3 or 4 goals at a time. Once a goal is completed, they celebrate then choose a new one. Included are pick-lists and blank templates to add your own goals or wording. Great for homework tracking too!

Teacher Toolbox Labels - Ocean Theme - Calming Blues
These labels were created to fit for Akro-Mils toolbox cabinets. They mount on the exterior since there is a divider groove inside the drawers. This file fits ONLY the large sized drawers. The printed labels are 4.25" x 1.75". There are 64 created labels for the most common teacher items. One blank template sheet is included so you can add everything you want to organize. The ocean theme is all blue - perfect if you are creating a calming classroom!

I am the mother of 3 "launched" children and the wife of the most incredible man on Earth. I have 2 older, yet wiser, beagles. We keep a lint roller in every room of the house because of the presents they leave on our clothing! I love to quilt, cook, and read. But most of my free time is spent searching for new teaching ideas and resources.
