Teaching style

When students begin to learn a new language, what they want is to be able to speak and understand as soon as possible. To connect. To feel accomplished in their language acquisition. So I focus on the Interpersonal mode for student engagement. This is where games, stories, theater, songs, and movement come in. These are activities that motivate students, that are the core of my pedagogy. The resources I have developed support hands-on learning, and with that, differentiation. Each activity combines the right level of competition and encouragement. The games I have created help students acquire language quicker and build self-confidence, so students can develop language proficiency and experience success. These activities are excellent for students whose first language is a Latin root language (Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian,) as well as students whose first language is Anglo Germanic (English, German, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, or Icelandic.)
