I’m Blake Tamplen! I’ve been working in education for over ten years. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology, which deeply informs my teaching approach. In addition to being a certified general education teacher, special education teacher, and ESL teacher, I am also a registered behavior technician. I am currently working in a self-contained special education classroom, where I create resources specifically for students with autism, focusing on visual supports, social narratives, and play-based/engaging content.

Teaching style
As an educator, I believe in a student-centered approach that draws on my background in psychology and behavior analysis. I strive to understand each student's unique needs and learning styles, creating an inclusive and supportive environment. I develop visual supports and social narratives to teach appropriate behavior, and I also use Unified to support reading instruction. Additionally, I incorporate zones of regulation to help students manage their emotions and behaviors effectively. My goal is to foster both academic success and personal growth for every student.
