Teaches students how to use a TI-84 calculator to do common useful tasks, such as storing a value in a variable, setting an appropriate viewing window for a graph, solving equations and finding points of intersection using a graph, and how to calculate a derivative using a graph or from the home screen (this can be left out for students not in calculus). Includes pictures of the calculator screen.
Practice with determining whether a conclusion can be drawn from given information using the laws of detachment, syllogism, and contrapositives. Answer key is provided.
