It was during this time that I discovered my passion for teaching English Language Learners. I quickly became one of the top instructors in my organization and even earned a fully funded trip to Beijing in recognition of my success. I enjoy working with high-quality online curricula, but I also realized that my students needed richer opportunities for meaningful conversation practice. To meet that need, I began developing my own materials designed to build confidence, fluency, and real-world communication skills. I’m excited to share some of the resources I’ve created—and the many more that are on the way!

Experience

With over 23 years of experience as an educator, I’ve taught in both traditional classrooms and virtual learning environments. I began my career as a middle school English and science teacher, and after adopting my children, I transitioned into online instruction so I could support my family while staying home. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for teaching English Language Learners. I quickly became one of the top instructors in my organization and even earned a fully funded trip to Beijing in recognition of my success. Since then, I’ve built a thriving private tutoring business—one that now maintains a waitlist due to consistent demand.

Teaching style

I believe in the importance of learning language through conversation. While I use online curriculums to teach the finer points of grammar, vocabulary, etc., most of student learning happens through conversation. I have struggled to find simple tools that help students in this area, so I hope to provide this through "Conversation Sheets" to give teachers a way to build conversation with their students.
