Teaching style

My teaching style is a prefect blend of teacher facilitated lessons and student focused lessons. I believe that my students with IEP require a certain level of direct-instruction to make measurable gains. With that being said, my students have a lot of voice and choice when I create these worksheets and visuals for them.

My own education history

I have a masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Through this program, I have been able to refine my planning as a teacher and as a teacherpreneur bring you all the best supports, visuals and resources possible. I have taken various graduate classes specifically in reading and writing instruction. I have a dual certification in elementary and special education from Aurora University.

Additional biographical information

I am an overly caffeinated helicopter dog mom. I enjoy creating resources, baking, and spending time by the water. During the school year, I am a strong believer of Starbuck Fridays, Self-Care Saturdays and a healthy dose of Sunday Scares. During the summer, I can be found kayaking, floating in the pool with a good book, or on an adventure with Rudolph (my dog).
