About the store
Lauren is the creator behind Blueberry Patch Resources. This store specializes in providing teachers the visuals, supports, and practice their students need to be successful. As a current special education teacher, these resources are constantly being used with students and updated to increase the outcome of the lesson and/or skill. My Teaching Experience: This is my 9th year of teaching special education. My first three years of teaching took place in a therapeutic day school setting. I have first-hand experience teaching functional skills and the importance of incorporating social emotional learning. After three years, I become a resource teacher and case manager at a public school in Illinois. Now, I teach K-2 students through pull-out interventions, push-in co-teaching models, and indirect supports. I have had specific training in multi-sensory systematic reading and social learning. I can't wait to share my successes with you, and I hope your students benefit from them like mine do each year.

Teaching style

My teaching style is a prefect blend of teacher facilitated lessons and student focused lessons. I believe that my students with IEP require a certain level of direct-instruction to make measurable gains. With that being said, my students have a lot of voice and choice when I create these worksheets and visuals for them.

Additional biographical information

I am an overly caffeinated helicopter dog mom. I enjoy creating resources, baking, and spending time by the water. During the school year, I am a strong believer of Starbuck Fridays, Self-Care Saturdays and a healthy dose of Sunday Scares. During the summer, I can be found kayaking, floating in the pool with a good book, or on an adventure with Rudolph (my dog).
