For this project students will pick a state to research then will create a Google slideshow to share with their classmates. Follow the step-by-step guidelines to complete your slideshow. This project will take approximately a week and students will need laptops to complete it.

This slideshow is perfect to be used as part of a monthly trivia question for Women's History Month. Each day contains a trivia question and answer. We use this school-wide. Students can submit their answers in our library for a chance to win a prize. We draw one winner per day. The stylish template for the slideshow came from slidesgo.com.

There are lots of pictures to go with each slide to make it more interesting and relatable for the students. Students will use an easy-to-read website to learn about the Native American groups of the past that lived within the United States. There are 6 different groups. They will learn about their Location, Land and Climate, Shelter, Food, and Transporation. This is a great way to introduce this topic and to get a broad overview of what life was like as a Native American in the past and to understand how different groups adapted to their environments.
Students use their textbooks, notes, and information they've learned about the Declaration of Independence to list statements of facts they've learned about the document, ideas, and people that helped shape it. Their statements must begin with a corresponding letter of the word "Independence."
