About the store
I have been teaching First Grade for 7 years at my DREAM school. I am currently teaching at the school my mom taught Kindergarten at for 31 years (who was also my Kindergarten teacher), where both my brother and I attended elementary school and now, my home away from home.
I have a passion for teaching and am ALWAYS finding opportunities to continue my learning. I am a forever learner! I have a true passion for teaching children how to read (phonics is my FAVE).
I also spend a few days a week during my Summer break tutoring primary learners. I love the opportunity to support students and implement my new learning!

My own education history
I got my Bachelor's in Science in LBD Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University. I continued my education and got my Master's in Gifted Education from Western Kentucky University. My favorite training I have ever had was IMSE's Orton Gillingham training. I feel that this best supported my reading instruction.
I am currently working on my Rank 1 by completing the LETRS program in my state.
