About the store

Experience

I am a reading tutor turned stay-at-home/homeschooling mom. I was a private reading tutor and developed my tutoring program and materials to help fix the root issues that cause students to struggle with reading and spelling. My materials are geared towards working one-on-one with students in grades Pre-K through 5th grade.

Teaching style

I look at fixing the root issue that is causing a student to struggle academically, emotionally, or socially rather than focusing on their "label". I believe that every student has the capacity to learn what they WANT to learn if they have the tools and positive mindset to do so.

My own education history

I have my Master's of Education degree: Curriculum Development and Instruction. Before starting Brain Activity, I was a Master Cognitive Skills Trainer through the Learning Rx program.
