About the store

Experience

I have 15 years of experience in Florida and Texas, teaching 5th-8th grades.

Teaching style

My teaching style is engaging and fun. I impact all learning styles and focus on brain-compatible practices in all I do. I do not teach to the test. Teaching my students higher level thinking skills is how they accomplish growth in their test scores. I believe it is vital to win the hearts of my students every day, and everything I do stems from that purpose. My educational philosophy is centered around impacting the whole child, and I have that every day in mind when I want into the classroom. I'm passionate about providing an environment where children can have fun, be loved, love others, and challenge their brains. My resources are simple by nature but deep in content to serve the purpose of engaging their hearts and minds effectively. Worksheets don't grow dendrites, so I base my resources off of developing higher level thinking skills and engagement, encouraging a love of learning.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have been recognized as a "High Impact Teacher", which is given to the teachers who achieve among the top test scores in the state.

My own education history

I received a degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Reading from University of North Texas.
